After over two years of waiting, Nintendo Wii U gamers can finally watch BBC iPlayer via their games console.
The catch-up TV platform was meant to release during the consoles launch in November 2012, but was delayed for unbeknown reasons. Now over two years late, the iPlayer application is available for download via the Nintendo eShop with the file being only 94mb.
Even now there has been no explanation as to why there was such a long delay for the Wii U, especially when the PS4 and Xbox One platforms have had their applications for a while.
Get ready for the inevitable bugs. We’re sure there will be constant software updates so don’t get too annoyed! It’s a part and parcel of these new consoles.
