Behold Spyro The Dragon fans, as he maybe making a comeback! According to CEO and founder of Insomniac Ted Price, the studio hasn’t ruled out returning back to the first big franchise they created.
Spyro The Dragon first debuted in 1998 as a 3D platformer on the original PlayStation and was deemed extremely popular, earning rave reviews and dominating games charts.
“We’ll always love Spyro. I’ve learned to say never say never so… who knows?” said Price.
Although there have been many Spyro games since the original, the last version was released in 2000 – Spyro: Year Of The Dragon. Since then Insomniac games studio has gone on to create other popular franchises Ratchet and Clank and Resistance.
